UNMANNED SYSTEMS OF EAST TEXAS INC. (USET) was incorporated in 1995. We work in "ALL PHASES" of R&D,T&E (RESEARCH DEVELOPEMENT TEST AND EVALUATION) projects and specialize in UAV missions and operations. Our speciality is in the field MISSIONS. Our emphasis has been low cost effective use of technology for solving real world problems.

Our engineering staff is composed of major aerospace workers that have retired but want to stay active. This has worked out great for the corporation. We have round table discussions when needed and often work is turned in while playing golf. We get the benefit of "years and years of hands on work" and we even have 3 retired engineers who came to us just volunteering their time to work on projects so they could contribute.

Much of the leadership and staff are "cotton tops" who have interest in projects we have undertaken. We owe them a great deal for their dedication. At this time we want to extend a "SPECIAL THANK YOU" to each and every one of these people. JERRY KITCHENS, serves as CORPORATE PRESIDENT, and has numerous years of aviation experience. We have ties to venture capitalists and raise funds for special projects, especially aerospace.

Our main project is the HAUAV(HIGH ALTITUDE UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE) system.This project got its start in 1984 as part of a product line and due to deaths of major players the initial effort came to a halt. We were approached by people in Washington DC to revive this effort and continue on. We have gone through numerous changes in all areas of the project. Despite these changes we are alive and well and highly motivated to do flight tests outside of the USA in 2010-2013. You can read more about this project under the HAUAV button.

Corporation members have traveled extensively to different sections of the world doing unmanned systems work. Jerry Kitchens even went to Turkiye (about 10 miles from Iran) in 1998 to research a possible UAV mission for archaeological work.

Our future focus will be sales, repair and instruction concerning all types of UNMANNED SYSTEMS in multiple markets while continuing work and consultation with major universities, research labs, think tanks, and R&D,T&E projects. We do work with people engaged in SBIR PROGRAMS when requested. In our opinion, we feel that UNMANNED SYSTEMS hold many answers to complex problems facing humanity today. The HAUAV is just one of those UNMANNED SYSTEMS.

Air, land, and sea operations. Civilian and military, law enforcement, private investigation, insurance issues as well as consultation have been the focus of UNMANNED SYSTEMS OF EAST TEXAS, INC.

When this website was first created we announced we had obtained land that joins WOOD COUNTY AIRPORT. We have started the building effort and it is ongoing. We have completed the LONESTAR HOUSE, the shop facility which is 30x50, we have put in a well, done road and fence work and created a new gate area. We will keep going with our initial plans and create a pond, helicopter pad area, build a 2nd shop which will be much larger to house more projects, we will complete our roads and build more hangars. One hangar will be on this land and others on the WOOD COUNTY AIRPORT itself. We hope to be able to keep 15 to 20 projects in house in the buildings we have erected and will erect in the near future.

UNMANNED SYSTEMS OF EAST TEXAS, INC. has background in prototyping, low cost/low tech solutions, numerous types of powerplants and alternative energy sources, composites, and futuristic design developement and operations such as the joined wing and wing morphing.

Although some of our former staff has left unmanned systems, passed away, and moved on we consider ourselves fortunate to come in contact with former UAV OPERATORS AND PILOTS from Iraq. We look forward to helping them with their chosen career in UNMANNED SYSTEMS and will seek to assist them in any way we can while looking forward to working with them when the time comes.

Unmanned Systems of East Texas, Inc. is a active member of the AUVSI (ASSOCIATION OF UNMANNED VEHICLE SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL) and Jerry Kitchens, President of the corporation, presently serves as the MEMBERSHIP CHAIRMAN OF THE LONE STAR CHAPTER OF AUVSI. We have found this association to be extremely rewarding in numerous areas and encourage active participation.Jerry Kitchens has been a active member since 1984 and looks forward to staying active until his career ends.

UNMANNED SYSTEMS has come a very long way since we first became active in 1983. The strides have been remarkable and outstanding achievements have been proven to the world. UNMANNED SYSTEMS AND ROBOTICS are here to stay. We look forward to the future with a degree of optimism and zeal. We can only make great strides then the funding is in place, commitment is made and experienced people step up to the plate to make things happen. Failure is not an option.
